Episode 54 – What If It Does…?

Summary

Often times we stop ourselves from doing something because we say, “What if it doesn’t work?” When saying what if it doesn’t, make sure that you also think about, “what if it does work?” The important lesson that I want everyone to take away today is, when you say “what if it doesn’t happen,” give more attention to “what if it does happen?”  Learn from what I say today, and never give more attention to “What if it doesn’t?”

I am very excited and happy to share with you that I recently was featured in a small book by some of the best speakers out there, and my advice was written in the book called the Best Advice for Speakers. Episode 49: Lights, Camera, ACTION

Summary

On today’s episode, we talk about taking action in order to achieve our goals and dreams! A thought is only a thought until it is acted upon. Writing your goals and creating a vision board are action steps, as they give you the right mindset and make you remember what you are working towards, but NOW, to make them happen, you need to take further action by asking yourself, “What can I do today to bring me closer to where I want to be?”

Episode 48: The Gratitude Challenge

Summary

After listening to today’s episode, I challenge you for the next 7 days to actually write down, every morning, 10 things you are grateful for, and every night, 10 things that you are grateful for that happened that day, before you go to bed. Try not to repeat anything! As well, do one act of kindness each day, something as small as a kind word or a helping hand. We often wish we had what others have, and when we can get out of our own way and be grateful for what we have and stop focusing on what we don’t have, we will then start to feel greater joy and happiness in our own lives.

Make sure after 7 days, you share with me how you feel, and how your mind has shifted to making you feel happier and more joy every day!

Episode 47: The Journey of Kyra Kim

Summary

Born and raised in South Korea, Kyra is an inspiration of what determination and hard work can create. Growing up in a rigid, competitive structure where societal expectations were focused on great success, she didn’t exactly fit the traditional mold of family expectations. As a child, she often changed her mind about what she wanted to be and was a free spirit. Despite what others thought she should do, Kyra took her own path and did very well! Today she works for the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where she studies the Earth’s water. Her focus is on comparing groundwater storage measurements to better understand linkages between groundwater depletion, land subsidence, and geochemistry. Her story is quite compelling, and one to make her family and community very proud!

Episode 46: Ria Story, Everyone Has a Story to Tell

Summary

Ria Story is a leadership speaker, trainer, and author. However, her story, and how she came to be where she is today, is not one that began with such great optimism. From 12 to 19 years of age, she was sexually abused and trafficked by her father. She became a victim of her circumstances, lacked self-confidence, and she was unable to help herself or anyone else. She encountered moments where she wanted to take her own life because she thought she would never get out of her situation. This story is all too common, and many women, who have gone through this as young girls, are unable to feel a sense of self-worth and self-love. I bring you Ria’s story so that you or someone you know, who may be going through the same tragedy can look to her for inner strength and guidance.

“What happens to us influences us, there is no doubt. But, HOW it influences us is what’s most important. If your past is holding you back from reaching your potential, it’s not serving you. Choose to let it go and move forward. You can’t move forward very well if you are dragging the past behind you.” – Ria Story
